2024 Mistletoe Market

Ms. Chu’s cherished tradition once again offered Grades 5-7 students a unique chance to combine creativity and entrepreneurship. With limited table spots up for grabs, aspiring young vendors worked diligently to secure their places, submitting detailed proposals in early November to ensure diverse offerings and no more than two similar tables.

The market buzzed with excitement as students, working solo or in teams, displayed their handmade creations, thoughtfully crafted during their free time. With clever strategies like “add-on” offersโ€”buy one item and get an accessory for just $1โ€”and eye-catching packaging and displays, participants struck a perfect balance between creative flair and business acumen, all while adhering to the $1 to $5 price range.

This cash-only event put their math skills to the test as they managed their $20 float and calculated change on the spot. In addition to gaining hands-on experience in budgeting, marketing, and production, students also gave backโ€”10% of earnings supported a charitable cause, and another 10% went toward table rentals.

Loved by students and parents alike, here’s a peek at some of this morning’s Mistletoe Market highlights:
